The Twisted Vine Cap features a richly textured cable pattern inspired by the many species of vines that are found growing in our native subtropical rainforests.
The Twisted Vine Cap is made using our wonderfully soft and lustrous Prima Kid Silk yarn which knits up to around a 5ply/Sportweight equivalent.
We’ve designed this cap with children, women and men in mind, so check out our full range of colours to find one that is sure to please!
Description
Pattern Notes:
The Twisted Vine Cap is worked flat; ie. knit back and forth from side to side and is seamed once knitting is completed.
Size: It is designed to fit children and adults alike and instructions for three sizes, Small, Medium and Large are included in this pattern.
To fit head circumference Small 47cm; Medium 53cm and Large 58 cm. These measurements are approximate. Our model is wearing size Medium.
This project is assumes you have knowledge of the following skills: casting on; K1 P1 rib; knitting cables; decreasing and seaming.
To complete the Twisted Vine Cap you will need:
Yarn: 2 (2, 3) skeins of Rosabella Prima Kid Silk yarn (60% Kid; 25% Silk; 15% Merino) approx 72m per 25g. Our model is wearing Col. #17 Coral.
Needles & Notions: 1 pair 3.00mm needles and 1 pair 3.50mm needles; (straight or circular) or size to obtain correct tension; a cable needle; yarn needle for sewing seam and weaving in ends.
